LEGENDS OF VINYL 2018 HALL of FAME INDUCTION (SEPTEMBER 18)
On September 18, Norma Jean Wright, Luci Martin, and I were inducted into the 2018 Legends of Vinyl Hall of Fame as the original lead vocalists in Chic. We're honored to be in such esteemed company!
MAY 5, 2018 DECLARED "ALFA ANDERSON DAY" in AUGUSTA, GEORGIA
I was honored to receive the key to the city during a special awards banquet at Paine College in Augusta, Georgia, my hometown! Mayor Hardie Davis, Jr. named May 5, 2018 "Alfa Anderson Day" in Augusta. I am still speechless. Here I am pictured with Mayor Davis and Commissioner William Fennoy:

NEXT STEP MAKES VEGAS DEBUT AT LIGHT NIGHTCLUB
On May 6, 2015, Alfa Anderson, Luci Martin, and Norma Jean Wright made their Las Vegas debut as Next Step. They performed with Ibiza-based producers Aristofreeks (pictured below left) at LIGHT nightclub, Mandalay Bay, singing Chic classics as well as their new single "Get On Up" released on Pacific Electronic Music, a label co-founded by legendary Atlantic Records president Jerry Greenberg. NEXT STEP DEBUTS NEW SINGLE FEATURING KATHY SLEDGE, "GET ON UP"
Alfa Anderson, Luci Martin, and Norma Jean Wright recently formed a new group called Next Step. Their current single, "Get On Up," was produced by Ibiza-based Aristofreeks and also features Kathy Sledge, who co-wrote the song. Buy the single here on Pacific Electronic Music (PEM).
